Updating the market, sports data systems and integrity services provider Genius Sports has informed that it has appointed renowned sports lawyer Kevin Carpenter to the role of Group Special Counsel for Sports Integrity.
A sports law veteran, Carpenter joins Genius Sports’ executive team from private sports consultancy Captivate Legal & Sports Solutions. Focusing on sports integrity and match fixing disciplines, Carpenter is a recognised figurehead in international sports law.
In his new role as Special Counsel, Carpenter will be tasked with the role of advising on sports integrity and best practices for Genius Sports ‘partnerships with governing leagues and federations’.

Carpenter has deep knowledge of sports multi-national stakeholder legal practices, having consulted international sports governing bodies such as FIFA, INTERPOL, the IOC, the Council of Europe and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime on integrity matters.
Genius Sports governance has further informed that Carpenter will lead its ‘educational & consultancy services’ for sports program’
