New Jersey Online Gaming to Merge with Other States
The monster news coming from the New Jersey legislature today was the announcement that the Garden State will soon enter into a pact that will allow its player pools to merge with those in both Nevada and Delaware, the other two regulated US states. Delaware and Nevada made a similar deal two years ago, one that tremendously helped the overall growth in both states. With New Jersey entering the fold, expect numbers to greatly increase. This appears to be a great step in the right direction and one that may encourage other nearby states (New York and Pennsylvania) to get on board.
Caesar’s Interactive Entertainment was clearly pleased with the news and released the following statement: “We applaud the government leadership and the regulators in New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware for reaching this meaningful agreement. We will immediately begin efforts to take our existing Delaware-Nevada compact and add New Jersey to the mix by following the requirements established by the regulators so WSOP.com can share liquidity with all three states.“

Poker After Dark Raising the Stakes
After finding success with their hybrid format earlier this week, PokerCentral announced that Poker After Dark will be returning again next week with a new cast of players and even higher stakes. Bill Perkins will headline “Perks of the Trade” week over at PAD. The stakes will be raised to the nonsense nosebleed levels of $500/$1000. The minimum buy-in is a cool $300,000 and the game of choice will naturally be No Limit Hold ‘Em. The games will run Tuesday, October 17 through Thursday, October 19. Other players slotted to join Perkins include Phil Galfond, Brandon Adams, Brian Rast, Daniel Cates, Matt Berkey and Doug Polk.
Hopefully Polk can run a little better this go around.
