PokerStars Winning Moments to Debut for WCOOP
With less than a week to go before PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker gets underway, PokerStars has announced the debut of “Winning Moments,” a personal highlight videos for the series. During the WCOOP, players who reach the final table in No Limit Hold’em events will be featured in recap videos with commentary from Joe Stapleton and James Hartigan, stats from the event as well as key hands.
After the WCOOP, Winning Moments will be expanded for players who earn prizes of 100x their buy-in. After the event, PokerStars will email qualified players a highlight video which can be shared on social media.

– In a recent interview with Poker Listings, Daniel Negreanu had some strong words for the WSOP Player of the Year leaderboard. “In the future they either have to improve it to at least where it was, or I stop playing it. And that would mean they lose a lot of other people because many of them are chasing the POY title.” To improve, Negreau said that the system must account for size of buy-in and also on quality of the players in the tournament.

– The WPT Legends of Poker headed into Day 3 on Tuesday with 90 players remaining. By late afternoon, 63 of the original 763 players remained with J.C. Tran, Jason Les, Phil Hellmuth and Twan Lee among the notables remaining. The final table will be held on Thursday.
